US scientists have learned how to turn carbon dioxide into superstrong nanofibers

Under the influence of temperature and catalyst, the carbon takes the form of nanoscale fibers. As the fibers form, the catalyst material is repelled from their surface, so it is possible to collect it for reuse. Energy for heating the gas can be obtained by burning the previously collected hydrogen. The result is an extremely cheap and waste-free process for recycling emissions, which cleans the atmosphere and provides additional benefits in the form of nanofibers.
