Researchers have learned to talk to whales

Specialists have long been searching for a method of establishing close contact with representatives of fauna. Elephants, octopuses, ravens and whales are considered the most suitable candidates. The specialists were able to establish communication with the latter.

Scientists have uncovered a method for communicating with whales. To find the optimal signal, they recorded the sounds of a pack of humpback whales and ran them through the water to test the animals’ response.

A whale named Twain (38 years old) soon responded. As she swam up to the vessel, she began to “talk.” Researchers played the sound at different intervals, and the female responded in the same rhythm. Scientists believe that Twain conducted a kind of dialog with a sound message.

According to experts, whales are suitable candidates for communication, as they have high intellectual and communicative abilities.
